Native American Bodywork and the New Biology |
| Event Description |
Ancient medicine meets the new biology in this transformative workshop. Native American healing practices can now be fully understood thanks to the work of cutting-edge scientists like Bruce Lipton and Candice Pert, who are proving that our beliefs determine our biology and our biology reflects what we believe. The Barkman Method artfully combines the narrative traditions of Native American healing practices with refined manual techniques. The method empowers clients to recognize what they believe and make conscious choices in alignment with who they are now. You will learn to · Combine deep meditation with hands-on techniques to reveal emotions and belief systems residing in the energy body · Transform protein molecules in resistant areas using palpation with both hands and feet · Refine tactile, auditory, and intuitive listening skills · Use effective dialogue in bodywork sessions. The philosophies of the Native American Medicine Wheel will also be touched on, and everyone will get hands-on experience as both giver and receiver. Mikka Barkman, LMT, ABT, has been practicing bodywork for 20 years and maintains a private practice in Berkshire County. A Canadian Cree and third-generation healer, Mikka has learned from thousands of clients that healing is much more than something that happens to us—we must choose it. Although the process is different for everyone, it always begins with hope. The Barkman Method evolved from this same process and is based on Mikka’s personal perspectives and experience. It is a Native American healing tradition that includes the laying on of hands, listening, and gentle dialogue instilled with love. www.mikkabarkman.com |
